Using more than one recording computer
CaptureGem can run on more than one computer under the applicable account and license terms, but the desktop app does not provide a public fleet config.yaml, per-node Monitor API, or unified dashboard that automatically distributes models. The old examples on this page described interfaces the app does not have.
If you use multiple machines, decide which models each installation records automatically so you can recognize duplicate captures. Give each computer enough network bandwidth and space for temporary and finished files. Keep the application active in a graphical session and inspect each machine’s completed files and failures after a recording window.
Move verified finished files to shared storage only when the destination is reliable and the copy has been checked. Preserve incomplete source data on the original machine for recovery. A second computer adds operational work; benchmark one machine first and review storage safely.
