Adjusting Playback of VR Recordings
VR files can look flat, doubled, or warped when a player uses the wrong stereo layout, projection, or field of view. These properties depend on the source stream. CaptureGem does not supply a universal playback profile or guarantee embedded spatial metadata for every recording.
First verify the finished video plays normally and has the expected duration. In your VR player, test the layout and projection that match the original source. Change one setting at a time and save a player preset if supported. Avoid altering or replacing the only copy of a recording merely to add metadata; work on a copy and compare playback afterward.
The available resolution and bitrate come from the stream and recording path, so there is no single bitrate target to apply to every CaptureGem VR file. If the file itself is incomplete, use troubleshooting before changing player settings.
