Troubleshoot a CaptureGem recording
CaptureGem records media supplied by a supported stream. If you see a black or silent result, first confirm that the model was live and the source stream itself had picture and audio. The app does not capture a desktop window or your microphone, so screen-recording permissions and input-device changes do not fix this path.
Check the app’s model and recording status, its error message, and free space on both temporary and finished-video drives. Network interruptions or site access changes can stop segment downloads. A recording may continue processing after the live stream ends; wait for completion before judging the final file.
Open the finished file and check duration, picture, and audio. If conversion failed, preserve the temporary and retained source files for inspection or retry. Avoid a reset until you have backed up the active data folder. See file locations and audio checks.
