Checking a CaptureGem Computer Remotely
CaptureGem is a desktop application. The Monitor tab is its supported status view; it does not provide a supported customer web dashboard for remote management.
If you need to inspect the machine from elsewhere, use a private remote desktop solution that you configure and trust. Keep the computer’s account protected, review what the desktop session shows before sharing it, and avoid exposing recorder ports or local interfaces to the public Internet. Remote file access should be limited to the folders you actually need.
When checking a problem, confirm the app is running, inspect Monitor and logs, and play a finished recording. A visible “recording” indicator does not prove that the output is healthy. See troubleshooting and file locations.
