Monitoring CaptureGem Recordings Locally

CaptureGem’s Monitor tab is the supported place to watch model status and active recordings. Its recorder process also uses local interfaces internally, but the desktop app does not expose a supported public Monitor API or a user-configurable Web UI port for remote dashboards.
A practical local monitoring routine
Keep CaptureGem open in its normal desktop session, review the Monitor tab, and check the recording output folder and app logs when a stream behaves unexpectedly. Confirm success by opening a finished file, rather than treating a status indicator as proof of a playable recording.
For remote access to your computer, use a remote desktop solution you trust and keep CaptureGem’s local recorder interfaces private. Do not expose a guessed localhost port, scrape an internal endpoint, or put a Discord webhook into a public page. If you need automated fleet monitoring, that would require a separately designed and authenticated integration; the app does not provide one as a customer feature.
