Getting Help with CaptureGem
For a recording problem, first check the app version, the site and model, the public stream state, free space on both output and temporary volumes, and the relevant CaptureGem log lines. A short description of what happened and when is more useful than a generic “recording failed” report.
CaptureGem links users to its Discord community for support and feedback. Share only the log excerpt needed to explain the issue; remove tokens, account details, private paths, and other personal information before posting. Do not upload an entire configuration file or recording unless support explicitly requests a safe sample.
If a conversion failed, keep the source media intact while seeking help. Mention the exact error and whether the source segments still exist. See troubleshooting and file locations for first checks.
