Do you need a GPU for multiple recordings?

CaptureGem ordinarily saves the stream-provided video and finalizes it without running one GPU encoding session per recording. NVENC session limits are therefore not a way to estimate how many streams the app can capture.

A GPU can help with playback, VR viewing, and editing or transcoding finished files in another application. For simultaneous recording, measure available download bandwidth, free space and write speed on both temporary and finished-video drives, and CPU work during finalization. Start with a small number of test streams and inspect every finished file before scaling up.

There is no meaningful GPU-model-to-stream-count table for CaptureGem: source bitrates, site behavior, network conditions, and storage differ. See multi-stream capacity and GPU acceleration in CaptureGem.
