Planning automatic recording coverage

CaptureGem can watch saved models, but monitoring alone does not save a finished video. To record a model automatically when it goes live, choose Record Always or Record With Expiry in its Auto Record control, if available under your plan. The desktop Settings screen does not offer a time-window scheduler, a minimum-resolution trigger, or a VR-metadata-only recording rule.
Plan coverage
- Add the models and sites you want to record, choose an Auto Record mode, then confirm the app detects and saves a live session.
- Keep the desktop app running and the computer awake during periods you care about. A sleeping computer cannot start recordings.
- Budget disk space and bandwidth for overlapping live sessions. Both temporary and finished-video folders need room.
- Review completed files and any failed or interrupted recordings before archiving or pruning them.
Time zones help you decide when to keep the machine available, but they do not change when the app starts a recording. See Auto Record guidance and bandwidth limits.
