Using Auto Record Reliably in CaptureGem

CaptureGem can automatically save a supported public stream when its model is set to Record Always or Record With Expiry. Monitor Always is watch-only and does not save a finished video. Start with a small model list, confirm one complete recording, and then add more models while watching bandwidth and free disk space.
Check the real controls
Select a model in CaptureGem and choose Record Always or Record With Expiry in its Auto Record control, if available under your plan. The app’s site providers handle status detection and retries internally. The current Settings UI does not offer per-model polling intervals, a retry-count slider, or resolution and tag filters for Auto Record. Avoid guides that ask you to configure those controls.
If an expected recording did not start, check the model name and site, whether the stream was public and available, app logs, and whether another recording or disk warning was active. Some sites or states are unsupported or can change without notice. Troubleshooting and bandwidth planning are useful next steps.
Keep the computer awake during sessions you intend to capture. Test one live session before relying on unattended automatic recording.
