Troubleshooting Recording Playback
If a recording stutters, first confirm that the file is complete and that its duration, picture, and audio are correct. A damaged or unfinished file cannot be repaired by changing GPU playback settings.
Compare another player
Try the same file in another player that supports its codec. If one player is smooth and another is not, inspect that player's decoding settings and your device's video-decoding support. Hardware decoding is a playback feature, separate from CaptureGem's stream capture.
Keep a safe recovery path
Work on a copy when testing conversion or metadata edits. Preserve temporary and retained source files after a failed finalization, then use CaptureGem's recovery guidance. A successful player launch is not proof that every frame is intact.
